The instructions in this section apply to the most current version of PM3 Firmware. If your PM3 is running an older firmware version, your menu options may be different. We recommend running the most current firmware version available.

Change UnitsAllows you to view your workout intensity in different units of measurement: pace, watts or calories. Also displays total time or meters elapsed as appropriate for the workout type.
At any time during a workout or while viewing workout results, press Change Units to view your workout intensity in a different unit; the PM cycles through the different units with each successive push of the button. For more information, see Understanding and Changing Units at right.

Change Display
Allows you to choose another display (All Data, Force Curve, Pace Boat/Skier, Bar Chart, Large Print). When you are rowing or skiing, press Change Display to cycle through the various display options. For more information, see Understanding the Monitor Display options at right.

LogCardWhen a LogCard is present, workout data will be stored on the LogCard. After your workout, press Menu | Back to return to the Main Menu before removing the LogCard to ensure that the data is stored properly (workouts must be longer than one minute in duration to be stored). If no LogCard is present, workout data is stored in Memory on the Performance Monitor.
Each LogCard can be shared by up to five users. Use your LogCard in conjunction with the Concept2 Utility to back up your LogCard data to your computer or transfer your data to an online logbook at concept2.com.

Battery Cover
Provides access to the two D cell batteries that power the monitor.

Reset Button
Button used in some troubleshooting steps. If you are ever instructed to reset the monitor using the button on the back, this is the button to use. Depress it gently using a paper clip.

Polar Heart Rate Port
Port for the optional Polar heart rate receiver.

USB Cable Port
Port for connecting a USB cable to the PM3 for connecting the monitor to a computer or phone/tablet for updating the firmware or uploading workouts to an online logbook at concept2.com.

Sensor Port
Port for the flywheel sensor cable. The cable must be plugged in for the monitor to operate.
